Friendzzz@summer

When at night with all the empty bottles and jay and baral, I was listening to the song “Pal”, I just wondered is there any way I can hold back these moments, Stay here only.

This is all I wanted, few friends, a beautiful place to hang out on, few bottles of wines and coke studio on laptop. And they were not few, They were a lot, more than enough.Be it Baral who might be the most innocent creature I have ever seen or Amrinder paaji , the best sardar, or jay the intellectual guy on phone, everybody gelled with each other so easily. There was Mugdha , ta girl, who took one hour for wrapping up in the evening and Spurti, the “papa ki pari”, “Humaari bahu alka” or other numerous names we call her by because of her unending demands. Adding to the flavour was Samson, the cribbing guy, The first guy whom people loved to listen when cribs, or Subash, a typical filmi guy from IIM A ,who had his own quotes of”Mocha diya” or “Spurti ke liye kuch bhi.. kuch bhi bole to.. kuch bhi” and ofcourse our great paaji.. jasjit paaji who was one person who use to spent more money than words. A place where people would laugh there heart out , he settled with just a smile. Me and mugdha still tease him with his signature “hello” sign. There is Srinath, an ever helpful person, who would do anything to help you- “kuch bhi bole to .. kuch bhi”. And there was a guest appearance of the smart dude, tushaar. “Guest appearance”, because he was a guest to the ofiice and would have hardly 50% attendence in the two months of internship.

With all these people and few spicy stories, of Baral leaving Spurti alone in nashik- the top on the list, to mugdha and subash looking for their dream house while walking by the side of marine drive after an awesome dinner at leopold. And yes , there was Spurti’s decreasing our number of tyres to rely upon to cross through AAREY colony by leaving with her friends and forcing us to switch to auto from taxi. And the samson refraining from giving the money at toll and asking auto driver to pay. The morning ride with mugdha and samson was a fun ride where samson would be full on with his cribbing. Baral’s staying at home throughout the internship , pissing off his mentor, refraining from using slangs in front of gals, giving cute expressions which even a guy would fall for, left him with being the most loved person in the group.

Starting form our hallmark breakfast to the lunch to the ride back home and the ping on communicator”kab chalna hai”, everything will stay with me as pieces of the best phase I had in mumbai, this summer. I wish this phase would never end, when jay is as always on phone while Baral would be asking Spurti” arrey, tum chalega kya hum logon ke saath” in a typical bengali style changing her gender, and me,mugdha, samson, srinath and subash laughing our heart out on his accent and jassi just settling with a smile.

  3. The post has been a good result of Sula :) I always wondered if any of us are back at Mahindra to work, how would it be the same without each of us.
The countdown of Samson has finally ended and for a change I am not happy about it.
Though getting back to college is supposed to be fun but internship with you guys was a notch better.
Will miss each one of you dearly.
